Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo has a mission that includes promoting and encouraging recreational activities for the public in the context of wild animals and their habitats, promoting, establishing and maintaining educational activities and programs to enhance the knowledge of the general public and the Zoological staff in all areas relating to the natural world, and promoting conservation of rare and endangered species of plants, animals and their natural ecological systems.
When Waitt Interactive was given the opportunity to re-build their website, we kept these ideals in mind. With an established brand and look and feel, we were able to come up with an effective website architecture and structural design. We built the site to feature a full content management system including flexible forms for registrations for events and group tour inquiries. We created a custom ecommerce section for a streamlined membership purchase and renewal experience. We also created a mobile website to allow for easy viewing of key areas for iPhones, Android and Blackberry smart phones.
