Waitt Interactive Wins Two 2009 Pinnacle Awards
The Mid-America Council needed a site that would upgrade and enhance the image of the organization, as well as serving as the administrative hub for the Mid America Boy Scouts Council.  The site needed to be geared towards Scouts, potential Scouts, their parents, volunteers, Council employees and the general public.  We had to take special consideration creating a complex calendaring system that could handle many categories of activities and display them in a clean user interface. The Mid-America Council also had the need to create forms “on the fly”, for events, camps, classes, training and so on. In addition, the Mid-America Council wanted to be able to attract corporate sponsors for their Web site.

As a result of the new design, the Mid-America Council has seen an overall increase in site traffic. Many of event sign ups and payments are being done through the website, with time and organization savings on internal personnel resources. Detailed analytics show the effectiveness of other marketing efforts and is helping gauge future marketing spending. A diverse audience's needs are being met from Executive Board members to Scout Volunteers to the Scouts themselves. 

Collective Soul, on the other hand, needed a new website that would create a new image for the band, be more interactive and engaging for the user, and allow for complete content management for the band and their management group. 

To do this, we chose a robust color pallete and flash navigation system along with FLASH photography showcasing their new CD Release. We highlighted their logo consistently at the top of every page. We also incorporated their social networking sites in the homepage and had the design "roll over" into those sites. The homepage serves as a strong gateway to the robust content that exists internally; we have a blog entry, video/media sample, and a space for advertising/promotion of upcoming events or releases. Internally we show a video gallery showcasing all of their videos past and present, a complete discography in a flash interface with links to purchase and a calendar with links to buy tickets. We made it as easy as possible for the fans to be engaged and involved and to take action. As a result, there has been overall increase in site traffic, including video viewership, and links to buy CDs from the discography page.
